3 Generations of Heating and Air Conditioning Expertise!

As the son of two entrepreneurs, I knew I had the ambition in my blood to start my own business, I just didn’t know what kind of business it would be. And it was through the influence of my father-in-law that brought me into the air conditioning and heating business.

Kathy’s father was a professor in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning program at University of South Dakota and he also had his own business on the side. I started the program, worked for my father-in-law to get some on the job training and four years later, after finishing my degree, I was left with the decision to figure out what was next.
You don’t go to school to learn how to install, you go to learn how to design and fix. That’s where you learn how to identify issues in the field and understand how to troubleshoot. And that’s what I like to do the most. Give me a problem and I’ll find the solution.

In the early ‘90s, I was presented with the biggest challenge I’d ever seen—a flat roofed home in the valley with glass on both the east and west sides. They were calling because they’d had 7 different contractors out to assess and they all told her it can’t be done. We did it. We took the time to measure, configure, and design. When we were finished, I had a customer who was ecstatic because we were able to make her house a comfortable home.
Anybody can install a box that will blow heat or cold air. But will it cool and heat your home to provide comfort throughout the whole house? Give us a problem and we’ll find a solution and that’s what I’ve taught my son and my son-in-law and everyone who works here. Air conditioning and heating is an investment in your most cherished family possession. It takes care, education and training to design a system that will create a comfortable home. We wouldn’t recommend anything for your home that we wouldn’t do in our own homes. We’ll treat your home like it was our own.

energy benefits of hang drying laundry, ways to save energy in orange county, alps hvac

In a study conducted in 2013, hanging laundry was America’s least popular way to lower utility costs. Approximately 85% of American households own tumble dryers, and those who do own one burn through two or more loads a week. Dryers are one of the top energy consuming appliances, using about 12% of a typical household’s electricity! This is a surprising contrast to the 95% of Italians who hang dry their clothes and the ...
